Breaking Away with the 2017 Nissan Rogue

As you well know, we’re pretty high on the Nissan Rogue in these parts. We’ve written extensively about it for years, and we’ve had a great time doing so. Yet, this might be our favorite day, Rogue-wise, in that entire span. We’ve just received the details regarding the refreshed 2017 Nissan Rogue, and friends, it’s going to be fantastic. Let’s get right up in its newly refreshed grille, shall we?

2017 Nissan Rogue Features and Release Date | Glendale, AZ

A Refreshed Exterior Design

The first redesign of the Rogue came back in 2014, when the first generation gave up its smooth edges for something a little more, well, Roguish. Now, the model is pushing this to its logical extremes, making the front grille and hood more muscular, while making the fenders and headlights more menacing as well. The same is true of the rest of the new Rogue, where new upscale LED taillights and 19-inch alloy wheels demand that the model be recognized.

A Refined New Interior Cabin

There are generally two camps when it comes to interior design: fussy or unfussy. Consider the 2017 Nissan Rogue to be part of the latter camp. The center tech stack has been simplified to accentuate operator control, while features such as the available Power Panoramic Moonroof allow buyers to let the sunshine in. Meanwhile, as one of the only models in its class to offer seating for up to seven, it promises to continue giving the best to those who purchase it.

Terrific All-Around Tech

We’ve already written at length about the NissanConnect Apps companion, which permits buyers to stream music, enjoy turn-by-turn navigation, or use their phone’s hands-free functionality. New for this year, of course, is the available Motion Activated Liftgate, which allows drivers to load up their rear hatch without reaching for the handle. It’s a miracle of modern ingenuity.

An Assortment of Safety Features

The Rogue has been keen to improve its safety offerings gradually over the years, all as part of the Nissan Safety Shield suite. This year is when things really get interesting for the Rogue: crash-mitigation features include Forward Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection, High Beam Assist headlights, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Moving Object Detection, and much, much more.
As you can see, it’s anything but business as usual for the 2017 Nissan Rogue. To learn more about this great model or to schedule your test drive, visit us at Avondale Nissan today!
