Nissan Kicks Concept
We at Avondale Nissan generally try to avoid getting too excited about concept vehicles, mostly because we’ve been hurt before. We’ve fallen in love with vehicles that clearly were meant to turn the heads of fanboys and autobloggers, and ones that only had a miniscule chance of realistically seeing a showroom any time soon, if at all. However, we aren’t made of stone, as was made obvious with the Sao Paulo Motor Show’s release of the Nissan Kicks Concept vehicle.
Which…well…holy crap.
There we go, getting all excited. The Kicks Concept appears to be between the Juke and Rogue in terms of size, and to hear Nissan’s design chief tell it, it aims to capture both the unmistakable urbanity and color of Brazil. It features a black matte finish with sunset orange accents. Nissan is trying to combat the predominantly blandly-colored cars found in Brazil, and hoping to represent a culture that is dynamic, loud and memorable.
So will we ever see the Nissan Kicks Concept stateside? Nissan is currently playing things close to the vest, but we at Avondale Nissan wouldn’t necessarily rule it out. It’s design cues certainly fit within Nissan’s innovative vehicles slated for upcoming release, and I think we can all agree that it would look pretty sweet cruising around Phoenix. And, whether or not this specific vehicle gets an American release, the likelihood is that a vehicle taking some of these elements will appear before too long. After all, it was only a couple years ago that Nissan released its so-called Resonance concept, which bears more than a passing resemblance to the upcoming 2015 Nissan Murano. So, we can dream, right?
Keep posted to our website for further details about all upcoming releases, and keep your fingers crossed that the Nissan Kicks Concept will get turned into something we can all enjoy!
