Kelley Blue Book shines light on Nissan Rogue in Long-Term Review

While initial reviews of automobiles are certainly helpful when it comes to assessing a vehicle’s perceived value, are they really the best way to do so? Another way for vehicles to be judged is by using long-term reviews, which is something that Kelley Blue Book just so happened to have done for our very own Nissan Rogue. So, what did they have to say after driving a Rogue for a year? Here are a few tidbits from the Nissan Rogue long-term review, courtesy of our friends at Kelley Blue Book.

Here’s what Kelley Blue Book had to say about the Nissan Rogue’s…
2015 Nissan Rogue Phoenix AZ…equipment: “Our favorite standard feature on the Rogue SL without question is the all-around-view system…”
They certainly aren’t alone in this regard. Even though they got the name slightly wrong, they got the gist of it right. The bird’s-eye view of the monitor makes for easy maneuvering, which we’ve covered in this space before. KBB also made mention of the many other features, including the power panoramic moonroof and the various crash mitigation features.
…Divide-N-Hide Cargo System: “Another cool perk of choosing the 2-row package is the Divide-N-Hide Cargo System…(that) allows you to make the best use of the cargo area to fit your gear, whether that’s groceries, luggage, sports equipment, etc.”
As we mentioned before, this review was compiled over a full year. Over the course of this time, the reviewer took several road trips, including into the Sierra Nevada mountains. That’s when they likely realized that the terrific cargo system of the Rogue was one of a kind, later noting that the hard cargo cover kept items safe and out of view, while only taking about three seconds to install.
…fuel economy: “After 12 months, 17,500 miles on the odometer, and just over 564 gallons of fuel consumed, our long-term 2014 Nissan Rogue SL AWD averaged 29 mpg combined. For those keeping track at home, that’s 1 mpg better than the EPA’s combined rating.”
One of the toughest claims for a car to consistently achieve successfully is its fuel economy estimates. So many factors affect the end result, and as we stated, the Rogue climbed into the mountains during the duration of the review. Simply put, this is extremely impressive.
…overall value: “It’s easy to see why Nissan’s compact crossover sticks out in a crowded field.”
Well, this really sums it up, doesn’t it? The crossover SUV market is certainly bursting with great options, but the Nissan Rogue stands as one of the best. To get your hands on one for yourself, visit Avondale Nissan today!
