June is more than halfway over and that means it’s time to start figuring out what your family is going to do this 4th of July. For those who are looking to do a bit more than a cookout, your friends here at Avondale Nissan have put together a short list of events happening around Phoenix this Independence Day.

Americana Fest
Up in Prescott at the Highlands Center for Natural History, people of all ages are encouraged to check out the 5th annual Americana MusicFest. Some of the best Americana bands from across the country will be performing starting Sunday, July 2nd at 6:00 pm. A short list of the featured bands include: Dear Lemon Trees, Robby Roberson Band, Tom and Christa Agostino, Folka Polka, and many more special guests.
Family Fun Cookout
In Glendale, Dave & Buster’s restaurant is partnering up with the Westgate Entertainment Center to provide a family-friendly cookout beginning at 4:00 pm and a fireworks show that starts around 9:00 pm. Tickets are good for all non-redemption games, and can be used as long as many times as you want. Interested guests are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets, as the event will likely sell out quickly.

What 4th of July list would be complete without fireworks? Down in Chandler on July 4th, the city is hosting a party in the Tumbleweed park that includes live music, and activities for the whole family. Kids can enjoy laser tag, face painting, a Lego trackless train, and to keep everyone cool, an inflatable “car wash” will be featured. The spectacular fireworks show begins around 9:00 pm and admission to the party is free!
