When you spend a lot of time around Nissan vehicles, you kind of get used to stacking up accolades. At Avondale Nissan, which serves the greater Phoenix area, we don’t keep a trophy case or anything similarly gaudy to keep a visual record of all our prizes–Probably a good thing, because where would we put our service department?–but we aren’t above a little self-congratulation. Which is nice, because we just received that the 2014 Nissan Rogue has been recognized at a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The 2014 Nissan Rogue was fully redesigned for the new model year, and it’s clear that Nissan didn’t sleep on safety when they were sitting at the draft table. The designation of “Top Safety Pick+” is the highest-available ranking, a result of the Rogue earning a best-possible “Good” score in all five categories.
In the 2014 Nissan Rogue, which is now available at Avondale Nissan, many wonderful safety features come standard that are either optional or not even offered in competing vehicles. Nissan’s Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) impressively offers dual-stage front air bags that inflate to a certain level based on whether a passenger is wearing a seatbelt and on the severity of the crash, and the Rogue’s cabin is flanked with supplemental airbags throughout. Meanwhile, the LATCH System, which stands for “Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children,” safely allows for transporting your most precious cargo of all.
While the 2014 Nissan Rogue takes special care to ensure that passengers are safe in the event of an accident, it also works to prevent accidents from occurring in the first place. All Rogues include Active Trace Control, Active Engine Braking and Active Ride Control. Active Trace Control improves cornering by automatically applying brakes or smoothing acceleration, Active Engine Braking reduces the amount of pressure a driver needs to apply on brakes, and Active Ride Control smoothes the riding experience after hitting a bump by applying brake and adjusting torque.
These, believe it or not, are just the standard safety features available in the 2014 Nissan Rogue. Optional features include Around View Monitoring, which uses four cameras to detect any unrecognized objects that may harm your vehicle, while Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Warning are available to further decrease the likelihood of an accident.
The incredibly safe 2014 Nissan Rogue is now available at Avondale Nissan, the premiere provider for Nissan sales and service in the Phoenix area. To learn more about the Rogue or test drive any of our great vehicles, contact our sales team today.
