2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO Phoenix AZ

To people who grew up in this generation, the name “Nissan” generally evokes words like “reliable,” “efficient,” and “stylish.” For those of my father’s generation, however, the conversation begins and ends with “Z-Car.” For forty-five years, the Nissan Z-Series has occupied rare air in the sports car community, enough to warrant the honor of being the best-selling series of sports cars of all time. And that tradition continues today, with the recent unveiling of the 2015 370Z NISMO, which arrived to great fanfare at the ZDAYZ Festival in North Carolina.

To those who may not know, what is known as “NISMO” is the motorsports and performance division of Nissan Motor Company, primarily creating aftermarket performance parts and packages that complement the standard Nissan vehicle lineup. And, for the 2015 version of the 370Z NISMO, everything came together beautifully.
The most dynamic changes from the previous model year to the 2015 370Z NISMO come in the form of exterior design features, and believe me, they are eye-catching. The overall posture of the vehicle was made to be more aerodynamic, being described by Nissan as “GT-R-inspired.” It also gains new LED daytime running lights, blackened outside mirrors, and a newly redesigned rear spoiler. The 370Z NISMO now gains red piping all along the lower edges as well, and its blacked-out grille lends a sense of menace to the already-snarling front end.
True to the overall spirit of the NISMO, this edition will only be available in red, black, silver and white, and will roll on 19-inch Rays wheels. Under the hood, the 2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO receives 350 horsepower and 276 lb-ft of torque from a thrilling 3.7L V6, and it now receives an additional transmission option, a rev-matching seven-speed auto that answers every call on this race-inspired roadster.
