How far can the 2017 Nissan LEAF go on a full charge?

2017 Nissan LEAF driving range and battery specs

If we had to make a list of our favorite inventions ever, electricity would definitely be on the top of the list. From lightbulbs to cat videos to fully electric vehicles, we’ve seen electricity everywhere, and we’d now like to introduce you to the 2017 Nissan LEAF. Not only is it one of the sleekest and classiest cars on the market, its all-electric drivetrain adds a whole new dynamic to your daily drive. Today, we’ll let you know its driving range and battery specs!

2017 Nissan LEAF battery specs and charging time

The LEAF is unlike most other vehicles on the road because instead of a motor under the hood, you’ll find another trunk. It’s convenient for that extra storage space, but not a focal point of what we’re talking about; the LEAF’s battery! The 2017 LEAF comes outfitted with a 30kWh 360 volt lithium-ion battery, which can produce up to 187 lb-ft of torque! That’s plenty of subtle punch to get you off the line in a hurry.

A main question that many people ask us is how long it takes for the LEAF’s battery to charge all the way up. We have some good news to help answer that question. Not only will you recieve a charging port with your purchase, but there are many service stations around the Phoenix area that you can utilize to juice up. At a standard 120V wall outlet, however, you’re looking at a charge time of around 21 hours. If you can find a power source at 440V that number dips to only half an hour!

Electric vehicles aren’t generally meant to be commuter cars, but the 2017 LEAF is out to challenge that notion once and for all. You can travel up to 107 miles on a full charge with the 2017 LEAF! That’s roughly the distance between Phoenix and Tucson, and very convenient to get you the most out of every drive.
