Updated Exterior Style
The Versa Note has always struck a chord with the younger set; those among us who relish facets such as fuel efficiency and easy maneuverability have long loved this model. This year, however, it receives the distinctive V-Motion Grille and reworked front fascia that most other Nissan models offer as well. Meanwhile, the SR-only rear bumper cover is now offered on all models, regardless of trim level.
Improved Interior Functionality
While there aren’t many wholesale changes to the interior cabin of the 2017 Nissan Versa Note, one obvious and helpful alteration is new, larger cupholders, and the relocation of the standard 12-volt power outlet and auxiliary port to the front of the center console. Upper-level trims also now offer a second 12-volt power outlet, as well as a USB port.
A CVT for Everyone
You may remember that the 2016 Versa Note’s base-level trim, the S, offered a six-speed manual transmission. For the new model year, the Versa Note has done away with the manual altogether, meaning that every Versa Note trim will reward its buyer with a 1.6L four-cylinder engine mated to an Xtronic CVT. This will help drivers to return approximately 39 highway mpg, according to EPA estimates.

Improved Personalization Features
In addition to everything we’ve mentioned already, the 2017 Nissan Versa Note also offers the Nissan Color Studio, which allows drivers to personalize their purchase to suit their specific tastes. Additionally, upper-level trims offer better-than-ever features as well, such as the SR trim’s 370Z-inspired steering wheel or the SL trim’s AroundView Monitor.
