What's new with the 2018 Nissan Sentra?

2018 Nissan Sentra feature changes

For many drivers, especially those here in the Valley of the Sun, there’s nothing quite like a well-built compact sedan to get you from point A to B with style, grace and lasting quality. For these endeavors, one of the most trusted nameplates on the market has long been the Nissan Sentra, unrivaled in its ability to provide drivers with all they need out of their daily commutes. It returns for the 2018 model year with some cool new trim level changes; join our Avondale Nissan team to check them out today!

2018 Nissan Sentra performance features and engine specs

For starters, the 2018 Sentra will offer a normally aspirated Inline 4 engine that many of you are already used to seeing from the model line; its 1.8-liter motor will be capable of producing 124 horsepower. The Sentra S will also be available with a 6-speed manual transmission, which increases this output to 130 horsepower.

Say you need a little more kick out of your daily journeys; the 2018 Sentra will also feature an available 1.6-liter turbocharged engine, capable of producing 188 horsepower! This engine will be featured on either the Sentra’s SR Turbo or NISMO trims, with a 6-speed manual or specially-tuned automatic Xtronic transmission built in.

2018 Nissan Sentra new features and technologies

Whichever Sentra trim you’re thinking of opting for, there’s plenty to love from the model. Automatic Emergency Braking, a Rearview Monitor and 5.0-inch color display (with Streaming Audio) are all standard on each Sentra trim, and upgrades bring even more modern amenities into the fold. Dual Zone Automatic Temperature Control is offered on SV trims and above, and Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) will be a key component on the Sentra’s SR 1.8L and SL grades.
That’s not all you’ll find on board the Sentra; to give you a more comprehensive and secure experience behind the wheel, you can rest easy with some of the top driver assistance features on the market (courtesy of Nissan Safety Shield) by your side. Some of these include:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Blind Spot Warning
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert
  • Many more!
