If they wear past this point, you’ll then hear the grinding sound of metal on metal, since the pads have been worn through.

Are there Uncommon Vibrations?

When brake pads wear well past the point where they’re effective, you’ll then feel vibrations in addition to the grinding. It might be a vibrations from the wheels, or you might even feel resistance from the brake pedal.
