We at Avondale Nissan certainly love this land of ours, and this is never more obvious than when we’re given a reason to celebrate it. The 4th of July is just around the corner, and there are all sorts of fantastic Phoenix-area events to help make it memorable. So, what 4th of July events and fireworks shows are on the books for the Phoenix area this year? Let’s uncover some of our favorites.

The Fabulous Phoenix 4th — July 4th
For more than three decades, the Fabulous Phoenix 4th has been the biggest show in town when Independence Day rolls around. It features a full day of events at Steele Indian School Park, complete with a classic car display, live entertainment, food and drink vendors, arts and crafts, and much more. The event is free to the public and alcohol-free.
After Dark in the Park — June 25th
It might be suggested that dogs and fireworks don’t really mix, but don’t tell that to the fine people at After Dark in the Park. This event takes place at the Deer Valley Park the week before the proper Independence Day, but this is a good way to kick off the holiday. The Arizona Humane Society-sponsored event is free to the public, features music from DJ Steve Grosz, and will blast off with fireworks at 8:45.

Light Up the Sky — July 1st
This has been one of our favorite events in the last few years, taking place in West Phoenix at Maryvale Baseball Park. Thousands of visitors attend this event, so it’s recommended that you get there prior to the 6:30pm start. There will be live music, inflatable rides, and food vendors, with the fireworks kicking off at shortly after 9pm.
Red, White and Boom — July 1st
And now for the best of the bunch, Red, White and Boom at Ahwatukee Foothills in Pecos Park. This one gets bonus points for diversity of its events, such as the Boom Room, the Oasis Lounge, and the full slate of live music. This is another event that you’ll want to be early for, so pack into your Nissan and prepare to celebrate America!
