Let’s get one thing clear: we aren’t talking about the Rascal Flatts cover. We’re talking about the original, which is perfect in every way.
Tim McGraw — “Red Ragtop”
Part of the beauty of our cars is the opportunity for nostalgia, and this song capably addresses the “first love” aspect of both cars and romance.
Death Cab for Cutie — “Passenger Seat”
This song demands to be blasted at maximum volume, while driving on lonesome roads with an old friend. You can thank us later.
Cake — “The Distance”
When this song came out, it seemed gimmicky to the point of ridicule. Now, a full 20 years later, we can’t believe how well it stands up.
