You know what’s one of our favorite things? Being surprised. Whether its a surprise birthday party, an unexpected $20 in our pockets or just a complement we didn’t see coming, being surprised makes up some of our favorite moments at Avondale Nissan. And recently, we got a good one, when some crafty Nissan engineers took a stock Nissan LEAF and crafted…drum roll, please…a Nissan LEAF pickup! And they even named it “Sparky!”

When you’re searching for a truck, the list of demands are probably pretty standard. You want something capable of pulling large loads, say, a boat or a trailer. You want to be able to comfortably transport a few adult passengers. You want to be sure that, if duty calls, you can safely travel off-road and carry work materials in the rear cargo bed. But what if, after all that, you still had an impressive fuel economy. According to a recent Edmunds.com list, that’s exactly what Nissan has done. In their “9 Fuel-Efficient Trucks for 2014,” both of Nissan’s impressive trucks, the mid-size Frontier and the full-size Titan, received recognition. But, at Avondale Nissan in the Phoenix area, we were wondering: how did the Nissan Frontier and Titan get recognized for their fuel economy?
