One of our favorite holidays at Avondale Nissan is coming up, and no, we aren’t referring to the yearly cleanup after St. Patrick’s Day. We’re talking about Easter, which combines several of our favorite things: dressing festively, enjoying the outdoors, and watching a younger generation of kids enjoy themselves. That’s why we’ve gone about the legwork of putting together a list of Easter Egg Hunts and Events near Phoenix, AZ for 2016. Enjoy!
Easter Egg Hunts and Events near Phoenix, AZ 2016
AJ Parks and Rec Easter Egg Hunt — Prospector Park, Apache Junction — Saturday, March 26th
If there’s a common knock against Easter Egg Hunts, it’s that they cater too much to the youngest kids among us. Fortunately, Apache Junction failed to read this memo. This hunt features separate sessions for kids from zero to seventeen, each of which is free. There is also an appearance from the Easter Bunny, game booths, a free petting zoo, train rides and an early bird pancake breakfast for a small donation.
Tiny Tots Easter Egg Hunt — Downtown Mesa — Thursday, March 24th
Downtown Mesa knows how to corner the market on an Easter Egg Hunt. Step one, hold it at a time when no other city is doing anything Easter-related. Step two, shut down your entire downtown for a herd of young’uns searching for 20,000 eggs. They’ve achieved this feat yet again with the Tiny Tots Easter Egg Hunt, complete with face painting, and appearance from the Easter Bunny and much more!
40th Memorial Dolly Sanchez Easter Egg Hunt — Peoria — Saturday, March 26th
For those looking for an iconic Easter tradition in the Phoenix area, we’ve got your medicine right here. For four decades, this event has been providing fun to both kids and kids-at-heart. Held at the Peoria Centennial Plaza, the Dolly Sanchez event offers eight separate hunts for ages one through ten, as well as a special hunt for individuals with disabilities. There is also a petting zoo, pony rides, craft-making, carnival games and much more.
Roxie’s Easter Egg Hunt — Shamrock Farms, Stanfield — March 19th and 20th
If you’d like to have some Easter fun in the week before the proper holiday, why not enjoy some informative fun at Shamrock Farms? Hobnob with 10,000 cows while you learn about local farming and agriculture, then stick around for an Easter Egg Hunt as well. There are also guided tours, a playground and much more, offering fun for all ages.
