Pump Up The Jams: Five Recommended SiriusXM Stations

Five Recommended SiriusXM Stations

In the nearly fifteen years since the debut of satellite radio–first with XM, then with Sirius, and now with SiriusXM–we’ve seen a technology that looked to corner a small niche in the market become an unquestioned cultural force. With categories ranging from pop to rock to comedy to talk radio, there truly is something for everyone. But, with a growing number of Nissan models enlisting SiriusXM radio as part of the NissanConnect Apps package, where does a driver begin? Here are five recommended SiriusXM stations, courtesy of your friends at Avondale Nissan!

Siriusly Sinatra — Channel 71
When you begin your SiriusXM journey, you’ll want something that everyone can agree on, and Ol’ Blue Eyes is a proven people-pleaser. This also features standards from other areas as well, with artists such as Tony Bennett and Dean Martin getting significant airtime, in addition to modern acts such as Michael Buble and Chris Botti.
Willie’s Roadhouse — Channel 59
After Sinatra has set the mood, head over to Willie Nelson’s namesake station, “Willie’s Roadhouse.” He brought some friends along as well, including Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard, to name just two. Also, with occasional stories and interviews with some of country music’s legends, you’ll get a full-fledged Nashville experience.
The Spectrum — Channel 28
“How ‘bout something we can all enjoy?” The Spectrum offers something for everyone, with modern radio hits as well as contemporary adult sounds. Enjoy the styling of artists such as John Mayer, Jackson Browne and Mumford & Sons, with periodic live performances from some of the most popular artists around.
Soul Town — Channel 49
The sounds of Motown clearly inform the playlists at Soul Town, although this only scratches the surface of all that you’ll hear. Artists such as Smokey Robinson, The Supremes and Stevie Wonder make frequent appearances, with modern soul sounds from the likes of Musiq Soulchild and Boyz II Men stopping by as well.
Mad Dog Sports Radio — Channel 85
Of course, any long road trip will require a bit of unfocused shouting about the games grownups play, and Mad Dog Sports Radio is the best in the business. Hosts include Dan Patrick, Evan Cohen and the Mad Dog himself. And, with regular live action and recurring segments, it give a full rundown of the day’s sporting events.
So who’s ready for a road trip? With NissanConnect Apps and SiriusXM Radio, you’ll never go without entertainment. Visit us at Avondale Nissan today!
