We’ve reached the point in the spring season to celebrate the dawn of new life — you know, flowers, baby birds, that sort of stuff — and it’s with this in mind that we celebrate people who are even more precious: our mothers. That’s right, Mother’s Day is coming up on May 8th, and many of us are already beginning to gameplan for this special day. So what Mother’s Day Events in the Phoenix area should you be aware of as the day approaches?

Brunch, Baby! — Phoenix Area — May 8th
Rather than simply say, “Go to this restaurant, have brunch, and thank us later,” let’s be frank about the fact that brunch takes many forms and in many locations. That’s why we’ve helpfully included the link above, wherein countless — okay, 42 — brunch options are listed for your easy booking convenience. After you’ve booked, then and only then can you thank us later.

Golf with Mom — Phoenix Area — May 8th
There are literally hundreds of golf courses in the Phoenix/Scottsdale metro area, and many have special deals for Mother’s Day. Either discounted or free rounds are common, while some may offer a buffet brunch with your green fees. There are also great deals on Groupon, while some might prefer the less demanding nature of a venue such as TopGolf, with locations in Scottsdale and Gilbert.
Mother’s Day at the Zoo — Phoenix, AZ — May 8th
There are few venues that put the mother and child relationship in such crystalline focus quite like a zoo does. So why not enjoy the day at the zoo, complete with optional members’ breakfast? There are two times available, but space is limited. This promises to be fun for the whole family!

How About a Dinner Cruise? — Peoria or Tortilla Flat — May 8th
There are two prime options for a dinner (or lunch, if you’d prefer) cruise near Phoenix: the Dolly Steamboat in Tortilla Flat, and the Lake Pleasant Cruise in Peoria. Each offers something a little different for visitors, but each can credibly claim to be a relaxing, family-friendly excursion that is well worth considering. Book early to ensure that your spot is saved!
