NASA-Inspired Zero Gravity Seats
Have you ever been on a long car ride and realized, “Wow, I’m really sore.” This happens more often than we probably even recognize. We take what we think will be a relaxing drive, only to find that we’re more tired when we arrive than we were when we left. Nissan, however, has taken great pains to eliminate this, well, pain. We’ve introduced our NASA-Inspired Zero Gravity seats, which are currently available in several of our most popular models, including the Altima and Rogue. So what is it that makes our seats so awesome?
Zero Gravity Technology. A few years ago, Nissan dedicated a special team to help eliminate the pain and fatigue that run-of-the-mill car seats frequently cause. The result was what you see above: the Zero Gravity seat. Using ergonomic technology, Nissan was able to position the seats at a point of “neutral posture,” which simply means that your body isn’t exerting effort to remain upright. The burden of your weight is on the seat, rather than on your joints and bones.
Where did this concept come from? With some help from the Yamazaki Laboratory, Nissan channelled NASA technology to come up with the seats that are setting the auto industry on its ear. They used a seat simulator to find the optimal position to eliminate body stress, but still keep the solid framework that makes the seats as safe as possible.
Where can I get them? Many new Nissan models feature the NASA-Inspired Zero Gravity seats, but talking about them doesn’t do them justice. To experience them for yourself, we recommend stopping by our dealership in the Phoenix area for a test drive. We promise–you’ll never view car seats the same way again.
