Nissan Altima “Ride of your Life” Phoenix AZ

File this one under, “Anything you can do, I can do better.” The 2014 Nissan Altima is known for a wide variety of traits–sophistication, efficiency, and comfortability among them–but is it the “Ride of your Life?” The 2014 Nissan Altima, now available at Avondale Nissan, packs a shocking punch, which some California auto buyers recently found out firsthand.

To prove that the Altima really is the “Ride of your Life,” Nissan brought a handful of actual shoppers to the Willow Springs Raceway north of Los Angeles for what they assumed was a ride in a “race-spec” edition of the Altima, delivering the intended gasps and white knuckles suggested by the name. Whipping through the tight curves of the Horse Thief Mile at Willow Springs at breakneck speeds, one rider even remarked, “I would never imagine a four-door car could do any of that.”
And then, the whole experiment was turned on its head, right in front of the stunned faces of the “Ride of your Life” participants. Attendants from Nissan–a “pit crew” of sorts–emerged to strip the racing elements to reveal that the Altimas that had just put our unsuspecting party on the edges of their seats were, in fact, just regular Altimas under a lot of makeup.
Of course, there’s nothing regular about the 2014 Nissan Altima. Available with a 3.5-liter V6 that punches out a menacing 270 horsepower, the Altima is perfectly suited to drivers who need the family-friendly functionality of Nissan’s terrific mid-size sedan, but desire some muscle at the same time. While the roomy and inviting interior will satisfy all the needs of the modern driver, the Altima’s all-out athleticism won’t disappoint drivers who aren’t ready to leave their younger days of open roads behind just yet.
