Partnership with NCAA Leads to Nissan Diehard Fan App

As you’re well aware, we certainly love sports here at Avondale Nissan. In fact the links you’ll find on this page (and the video at the bottom) certainly bear this out. What you might not be aware of, however, is just how much Nissan cares about athletics as well. Nissan USA has just announced the largest college athletic sponsorship in the history of collegiate sports, and to celebrate, we’re rolling out the Diehard Fan App.

Nissan Die Hard Fan AppHave you ever wanted to show your allegiance to your favorite NCAA athletic team, but didn’t really feel like painting your face to do so? With Nissan’s Diehard Fan App, all you have to do is scan a picture of your face — some might call it a selfie — and Nissan’s patented and proprietary facial analysis technology will “paint” your face! Each facial-paint design was previously hand-painted on a human model as well, lending them a lifelike appearance. It also moves in real time with the movements your face makes, something that no other app can claim.

Nissan’s new NCAA Sponsorship

Of course, the announcement of this new app coincides with a new partnership between the NCAA and Nissan, with an unprecedented series of sponsorships that will cover 22 men’s and women’s sports, 100 schools, thousands of student athletes, 22 million alumni and 188 million fans across the nation. Sponsorships will span multiple games beginning immediately, with extension reaching all 100 schools in 2016.
