Behold the Nissan ESFLOW Concept Car

Although we certainly pay the closest attention to our all-new 2017 models that are beginning to arrive at Avondale Nissan, we also are sometimes brought to our feet when it comes to concept models that we may in our showroom at some point. Case in point can be seen on this page, in the form of the Nissan ESFLOW concept, which takes come classic cues from the 370Z model, and is then imbued with the zero-emissions technology of its LEAF sibling. So buckle up, because we’re going to check into some exciting news from the Nissan design desk.

Nissan ESFLOW Concept

A 100% Electric High-Performance Sports Car

Take one look at the ESFLOW concept, and you’ll have little trouble seeing where the the inspiration for this model comes from. The boomerang taillights recall the 370Z and JUKE, while the low-slung posture takes cues from the GT-R. Of course, its all-electric pedigree has its roots in the LEAF lineup, making for a model that certainly represents its Nissan heritage at every step along the way.

Zero Emissions, Outsized Ambitions

Hey, that rhymes! But look, we aren’t just trying to spout clever turns of phrase. We’re more interested in the ESFLOW’s double motor, rear-wheel drive powertrain, one which can power up and over 60 mph in under five seconds. It also enjoys over 150 miles of range in a single charge, while the charging port can be found hiding in the air ducts under the ESFLOW’s blue LED front lights.

A Sturdy Aluminum Chassis

Just look at that distinctive wraparound windshield, would you? The reason that this windshield is possible is because the ESFLOW uses a composite aluminum chassis, thus eliminating the need for clunky reinforced pillars. The roll bars are then moved out of sight, meaning that drivers are still safe in the unlikely event of a rollover.

A Luxurious Two-Seat Cabin

The interior cabin of the ESFLOW is a study in minimalism, with distinctive blue and gold leather and suede making up the entirety of the cabin’s expression. Four multifunction LCD displays keep drivers abreast of their performance and diagnostic info, while fly-by-wire steering and pedals adjust to specific settings and preferences.
So, will we ever see the ESFLOW for ourselves? While it’s difficult to say either way at this point, we can still see many of its forebears right here at Avondale Nissan. Test drive one of our electric vehicles or sports cars today!
