Meanwhile, its big brother, the 2014 Nissan Titan, gets accolades for committing fully to its capabilities as a full-size, heavy-duty work truck, while also keeping an eye on its drivers’ wallets. The strength of the 2014 Titan is obvious: under the hood lurks a 5.6-liter DOHC Endurance V8 with 317 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque, which boasts a maximum towing capacity of 9,500 lbs. But for all its considerable power, it is surprisingly easy on gas: an EPA-estimated 18 mpg on the highway, and 15 mpg combined.
