Now that we’re nearly out from under one of the most mild winters on record, we can start filling up our calendar for the months ahead. There will be much to talk about at Avondale Nissan as Spring Training and the summer break approaches, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Today, we’re going to talk about St. Patrick’s Day events near Phoenix, AZ for you to consider as you fill up your March calendar. So grab your daily planner, pick up a red sharpie, and let’s make some plans for the coming days in the Phoenix area, shall we?
Saturday, March 12th. One of the best things about St. Patrick’s Day is acting like you’re Irish even when you clearly are not, and one of the best excuses to do this is the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Faire. Have some bagpipes or kilts hiding around your house? Then pull them out, and get to the Irish Cultural Center at Hance Park by 10am.
Saturday, March 12th. A great way to stave off the calorie intake that generally accompanies St. Patrick’s Day is to get a nice run in before the day truly begins. It features a 17k run, an 8k run/walk, a 4k run/walk and a 1k run/walk, so there’s truly something for everyone. Perhaps it’s best feature, however, is that the finisher’s medal has a bottle opener on the end of it. Genius.
Thursday, March 12th. Many of us try to confine our St. Patty’s Day happenings to the weekends before and prior to the actual day, but Padre Murphy’s will have none of that. From 2pm until the UBER arrives, there will be live music, leprechauns, clowns, face painters, green drinks and corned beef and cabbage. If you’re free on this day (and on the following day, most likely), you won’t want to miss this one.

Thursday, March 12th. While Murphy’s Law hasn’t divulged the details regarding its famed St. Patrick’s Day celebration, we have it on good authority that it’ll be one for the ages. It always features live music, a beer garden and all sorts of eclectic Irish-themed food, so if you’re out in the Chandler area, this is likely the St. Patrick’s Day event you’re looking to attend.
We hope that these events tickle your fancy this St. Patrick’s Day, and that you’ll come see us soon at Avondale Nissan to let us know how your holiday went! There’s no word yet if Sheriff Joe will again be in attendance, but if history is any indicator, it’s a distinct possibility.
