The Nissan Sway concept has only been making the internet rounds for a little over 24 hours, and in that time, message boards have blown up with breathless anticipation that, as of this posting, we might not ever see in the United States. A few years ago, long before we got our first glimpse of the 2016 Nissan Maxima or the 2016 Nissan Titan, there was a different future Nissan model that stole our hearts. It was slickly designed, had a distinctly retro feel, and gave hope to all of us at Avondale Nissan who would love to see a compact muscle coupe like we used to see in the late sixties and early seventies. It directly recalled the iconic styling of the famed Datsun 510, and it was a joint project between Nissan and some pioneering computer designers called “digital natives.” Long story short, when we saw the Nissan IDx concept, we fell in love a little bit.
